Technical Author Position: Technical Author Location: Cambridge
Working as part of the team, liasing with developers, and reporting to the Chief Technical Editor, you will be involved in all aspects of the documentation, including informally testing software, writing and maintaining technical manuals (for administrators and end users) and creating comprehensive and well-structured online help. You will become familiar with web related technologies, gain an in-depth understanding of complex products to ensure that comprehensive documentation is created, write manuals following standards and house style as well as contribute toward the development of existing standards and house style. You should have a minimum of 1 year experience of writing documentation for a software product. Experience of using FrameMaker and a Help authoring package would be useful. You must have the ability to document software, initially from functional specifications and subsequently from the emerging software whilst writing clear and concise documentation aimed at a variety of end users.
